Sun Valley

Another successful girls trip to Sun Valley. Big Surprise. It still shouldn't amaze me that a group of ten adult women can get along so well and have such a great time, but sometimes it does. For as much as we think we're normal, maybe we're not! We rolled in Friday afternoon and left Monday afternoon--in time to get home to watch the Bachelor, of course :) Here's the haps to the weekend....

*checked out Sun Valley (since the actual town of Sun Valley is so small, this was done in about 12 minutes) Technically we spent most our time in Ketchum.

*celebrity sighting: Kenny Loggins.

*Van 1 waited for van 2 to arrive and then grabbed dinner. We went home and exchanged Valentine gifts

*Being that Valentine's Day would fall over this glorious weekend, we decided to draw names and that person would be our "valentine". You had to buy your valentine a $5 item and/or outfit from the D.I. to wear during one of our outings.

*youtube hour. we got sucked into watching youtube after youtube. but this was our fave--probably watched 20+ times....that oprah and her surprises. Hallelujah



*Saturday morning we found ourselves at the GoldMine-a thrift store--in search of one-piece snowsuits. Luckily for us, they were having a President's Day Sale and one-piece snowsuits were half-off.

*Kimi found a treasure--an owl sweater--that earned us an invitation by a visiting hockey team to their game that evening.

*lunch/affirmation--somehow we started saying why we liked or what we admired about someone and it started out as a joke but then by the end, it got kind of mushy. there were tears. love these gals.

*DI outfits on, we went to an afternoon matinee of "Valentine's Day". it was quite a site seeing us walk across the street

*dinner at Despo's--formerly Desperado's

*Sun Valley Suns vs. Missoula Cutthroats hockey game. We were the only fans for Missoula and they won

*Team dinner after the game at the Roosevelt

*stuff

*Sunday morning--a nice visit to the Sun Valley ward. I sported my new sequin heart headband courtesy of ban.do and Jenny. Thanks Jenny--i LOVE it!

*brunch

*shopping

*naps

*homemade dinner

*visit to the giant hot tub (the resort turns their swimming pool into a hottub in the winter)

*Monday--hit up the hill for some fantastic sledding

*headed home

we couldn't stop laughing during the prayer for dinner. mo snapped a pic and made it worse...
